A great hike into the heart of the Superstition Wilderness. The trail accesses Boulder Basin via Dutchman's Trail, allowing hikers to visit several nearby attractions, including: Aylor's Camp, Aylor's Arch, and Horse's Head With Laid Back Ear, among others. This area also offers great views of Weaver's Needle. To complete the loop, hikers must climb Black Mesa and enter Garden Valley and return to Dutchman's Trail via Second Water Trail. Loop is 9 miles with 900 ft elevation gain, not including side trips to attractions.
